Anti-Black Racism Action Table

In response to the anti-Black racism protests in the summer of 2020 and a call to ensure more meaningful representation of Black (and racialized) students, the MSBSA consulted with the Munk School Directorate on the formation of the Anti-Black Racism Action Table.

This ‘table’ made up of the leadership of the Munk School and student representatives meets periodically to discuss how to implement inclusive policies and practices at the school which are cognisant of marginalised students. The MSBSA has a seat on this table and our Director of Advocacy served as the representative in 2020-2021. Learn More

Black Diaspora Excellence Scholarship

This scholarship is an important step in ensuring students from the Black diaspora have an opportunity to attend the Munk School. The MSBSA would like to acknowledge our Director of Advocacy Adam Lake and one of our co-founders Claude Galette who consulted on the establishment of this scholarship.

The MSBSA’s Executive team hopes more initiatives like this will continue to be developed at the Munk School which can ensure the school is more accessible to marginalized students. Learn More
